Membership of the ISDR is open to all.  Members receive the international journal, Diatom Research, which from 2011 will be published by Taylor and Francis twice yearly on current topics of diatom study.  Almost all papers are in English but we also publish in French, Spanish and German.  Please encourage the diatomists with whom you have contact to join the Society and publish in the Journal.

The Society holds its International Meeting at a different venue, every two years and is open to all interested persons but it includes the general meeting of the Society’s members.  Paid-up members are entitled to a discounted registration fee.  The International Meeting produces its own series of highly topical and properly refereed papers.

The Society is registered as a charity in the UK (No. 1054897) which helps to keep the subscriptions as low as possible.  It also seeks support for some persons otherwise unable to attend the International Diatom Meeting.

The personal subscription is currently only £40 per year.
A personal plus spouse subscription of £50 provides one copy of the journal and meeting discounts for both.
Students are allowed an introductory discount over a two-year period of study.

Payment is due before January 31st of each year. Members are encouraged to pay in full, in pounds sterling using our online secure credit card payment system hosted by Worldpay.  If this is not possible mebers may pay directly to the Treasurer, or in the appropriate currency to one of the assistant treasurers.  Please read the Subscriptions page for full details.
