Subscription charges are as follows:

Personal membership: £30 (30 GBP)
Personal membership plus spouse (Sharing one copy of journal): £35 (35 GBP)
Student membership: £20 (20 GBP)

Pay subscriptions online using a credit card via WorldPay secure server.

All online transactions are conducted in pounds stirling (GBP).
If you are unable to pay by credit card you should complete a subscription form and send this, together with your payment to the society treasurer (address below), or to one of our regional assistant treasurers listed on the subscription form.

Overseas subscribers may pay in other currencies as follows:

Personal membership:
US$60, paid to the US Assistant Treasurer,
€50, paid to a European Assistant Treasurer, or local currency to your Assistant Treasurer as directed.

Personal plus Spouse membership:
sharing one copy of the Journal is £35 / US$70 / €60.

Student membership:
£20/US$40/€35 available for a maximum of 2 years. This MUST BE accompanied by a signature of a paid-up member.

If there are any problems or a delay in payment, please contact the Treasurer as she needs at least an expression of interest.  Some members may find it cheaper to pay for up to 5 years at the same time, to make a joint payment with colleagues, or to arrange to pay in local currency to one of the national Assistant Treasurers listed on the payment form, contributing to the transfer cost as required.  An immediate response will greatly reduce the workload on the team; Assistant Treasurers do a great job, so where possible please use them as this reduces your transfer charges.  NB: All payments direct to the Society’s Treasurer, Suzanne McGowan, must be in sterling and not Euros.

As the Treasurers only send receipts on request and some office records are time-limited, members paying other than by personal cheque or bank transfer, should provide details to the recipient treasurer, so that we can query any non-arrival.  If you do not receive your copy of the journal “Diatom Research”, due in May or November, you should contact the Society´s Secretary or Treasurer.

Prospective members should first read the Membership page.  New memebrs can join by paying their subscription online and checking the “new member  box” or by contacting the Hon. Secretary, Dr Viv Jones.

Please note that all US dollar cheques should be sent to the US Local Treasurer and all euro cheques to a euro zone Treasurer (not the UK), please contact the latter first as to payment.
